Response to Chow's post "Women: Man's Worst Enemy"
Chow, I think you are being extremely narrow-minded with this comment. Firstly, I'd like to address your point about how women are manipulative. It seems as if you are upset about something that happened in your past. This is actually a great example of Barnes' line, "you can infer past actions from current mental states" (p. 49).
Well, I can assure you that I speak for all girls when I say that men also manipulate. Here's a shocking leap: HUMANS manipulate. It is in our nature to work in our own best interest. That's evolution.
Now, when you say that women need attention from the opposite sex, you are again forgetting that men behave this way too. I'm sure you've heard the term 'player' used in reference to men. Men, just like women, get an ego boost when they get attention. Have you forgotten that men sometimes go out simply for the reason of hooking up with girls? Have you forgotten that some men dread a real relationship and only hope to 'score'? Have you ever heard of a guy using a girl only for sex, and then dropping her immediately after? Of course you have, because this happens all the time. Women aren't perfect, but you neglected to mention that neither are men.
I guess this last picture was supposed to be funny... ha. ha.
If you think manipulation, greed, and selfishness are acts of pure evil, then you don't have a problem with women, you have a problem with mankind.

ReplyDeleteChow, its not that women are more manipulative than men. The truth of the matter is, women have more power because MEN give it to them, so their "manipulative traits" seem more apparent than that of men. Some men can be extremely manipulative in many ways, they just don't have enough power to be able to demonstrate it, as "macho" as they may think they are.
